Stacey’s Orientation and Approach

Stacey believes we all possess the resources within ourselves to transform our lives for the better. She passionately guides her clients on a journey of discovering their fundamental truth as they transform their suffering into peace. Stacey encourages her clients to explore living as the best versions of themselves: healthy and whole human beings who thrive in this world rather than merely survive within it.

Stacey believes it is vital and necessary to cultivate love, kindness, and compassion towards ourselves as we work towards reconnecting to the brilliant clarity and wisdom shining within us at all times. This process takes a lot of strength, and most importantly, support as it can be challenging to undertake such a courageous task alone.

Often times what separates us from our connection to our basic goodness and authentic selves are life events beyond our control. Sometimes these events can be abrupt, such as a traumatic accident, or they can slowly progress over time, such as depression, or anxiety. In any case, we respond to what life brings us in the only way we know how and the best way we can.

"To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”

-Lao Tzu

Stacey’s approach draws from an eclectic array of therapeutic techniques when working with her clients based on their individual needs. No one technique is effective for all people, and therapy sessions must be tailored to what the client truly needs to address in the moment. Person-centered and humanistic in nature, Stacey believes the trusting relationship between the client and therapist is of utmost importance in bringing the unconscious into light.

Stacey helps clients pay attention to their thoughts and emotions while they become aware of their physical sensations; they begin to understand how each influences the other. By using mindfulness techniques, clients can learn to take control of their thoughts and emotions in order to transform their moods, states, and over time, their entire lives for the better.

"What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality."

-Plutarch

Stacey’s techniques include but are not limited to:

“By paying attention to the here and now, we train ourselves to be in a relationship with what is, and not what it should or shouldn’t be. We befriend our emotions by allowing them to exist independent of whether we like them or not. We open up to accepting life as it is. Feelings of self-love, compassion, and empowerment can blossom from this quiet and still place, revealing new insights that deeply transform how we navigate life.”

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create that fact.”

- Henry David Thoreau
